Sally and Maggie went for a yoga class while I caught up on the news of the World Series. The city has been alive with the energy of having the home team in the championship. When they returned from yoga, we headed out to eat at one of the city’s well-known eateries, The Plow. After Sally and I shared the most popular menu item, we toured a bit of the city before heading North over the Golden Gate for a hike in the Muir Woods, home of the coastal Redwoods. We hiked a loop trail that takes you up to look out over the Redwood canopy before descending again to the forrest floor. My favorite part was this section where the tourists were told (via a sign) to keep silence as you walk through the Cathedral Woods.
