A one-minute tour of the L’Orangerie Museum in Paris

Late Saturday afternoon, the 9th, we headed to the L’Orangerie Museum, located within the grounds of the Tuileries Gardens, and took a tour of the impressionist art.  The centerpiece of their collection are the Water Lily paintings by Monet.  A large part of the museum comes from the Walter-Guillarme art collection.  Also featured in the museum are works by Renoir, Cézanne, Matisse and Picasso.

Here is a brief one minute tour of the paintings that hang in this museum.  We only captured the ones that captured us, with a few notable exceptions.

The music that underlies the video was taped while we were touring the St. Séverin Cathedral on the Left Bank.  This smaller cathedral plays with images of flame both in architecture and the many stain glass windows that surround the sanctuary.
